As the days get longer and temps get warmer things continue to heat up on the development front in Southern Illinois. According to the Southern Illinois Builder’s Association (SIBA), a trade association representing more than 500 contractors and affiliated businesses in Southern Illinois, 2014 ended up being a strong year for construction and development in the region. Overall, the total amount of projects awarded in 2014 exceeded $814 million. Even better, the SIBA is forecasting a 10% increase in projects for 2015.
